Introduction

Technology is hard work. Creating technology is hard work. Using technology is hard work. Buying technology is hard work. Getting people to use the technology available is hard work. I beta test software. I use Firefox 3.1 beta over Chrome. I normally work on a Windows PC but love to play around with Linux distros. I prefer Fedora to Ubuntu. I like to find ways to use technology to improve a situation.

I work in Information Technology. Other than a brief period of being a manager i've always worked in Information Technology. One of my oldest memories is going to LA for a computer expo to purchase a computer for the family. From then on i was enthralled. I'd play around to see what things did. I'd always break something so i'd have to figure out how to fix it before someone else was it was broken. Now my IT buddies come to me when they get stuck on technology issues.

I live by 2 rules for technology. Technology belongs to those smart enough to use it. Buy the bare minimum until you can afford the best.
